My Mother who was 92+ passed away last night. She had a wonderful life and is now in Heaven.
Bertie Worrell Harris Parker, born March 14, 1914, a native of Castleberry, AL and long-time resident of Mobile, AL, slipped quietly into the arms of her Lord at home on January 27, 2007 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Parker had been a faithful member of Government Street Baptist Church for 64 years, taught 2nd grade for 38 years in both public and private schools, and had been active in the Order of the Eastern Star until recent years. She is survived by three sons and their wives, Louis Harris, Jr. and Nancy of Mathews, AL, Larry Harris and Paula of Mobile, AL, and Randy Harris and Rebecca of Ellijay, GA; one step-daughter, Joyce Kostmayer of Theodore, AL; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, other relatives, and a host of friends. Visitation will be Monday, January 29, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street.
