I don't ride slow. I also ride in the woods alot and make alot of my own trails on Pop's property. some rocks and a lot of sticks and fallen trees. But I also go to Broad river alot and end up 50% of the time in the mud and 50% of the time on the trails. I prefer trail riding, but that is limited at BR.

Scoob I was thinking about 26's too as everyone has stated I shouldn't lose too much power. What kind of atv do you have?

How much faster is the brute force than the Prairie? Or is it just have more low end power?

The reason I ask is my brother has a 650 vtwin Prairie and he outrun a 650 brute force.

I rode it yesterday and it's the fastest Utility atv that I have personally ridden thus far. Besides looks what is the major difference in the two? I would google it, but I don't have that kind of time right now and I know some of you guys would know.

i have an arctic cat 400 I have a jet kit for it and I am going to make an custom exhaust for it.

The 650 brute and the 650 prairie use the same running gear, motor,trans,and rear unless its the IRS brute. Then is just has a different rearend.

has anyone on here ever seen FISHERS ATV WORLD on the Outdoor channel. A couple weeks ago the did a show on Brimstone. It comes on Mon. @ 5:30 & 8:30 pm then @ 1:00am Tues. morn.

Crazy you should ask. Watched it for the 1st time last night. I was expecting a little more shots of actual ridin, instead it felt like one big infomercial.

HEY GAMMA, one of my buddies has a quad like yours.... he likes his knobbys... he can sling it around a litte better than the big grip tires... its all in what you prefer... he likes slinging mudd... the muddlites dont give... they wont let cha sling your quad around as well as the stock tires... and like everyone has said, its all in what you can afford and what you want to do. When i had my stock knobbs, i could fish tail it and rooster tail any thing i wanted..... the mudlites grab the ground and dont rooster tail very well. just shop around.... the big horns are good.

I have had Mud Lites, Swamp Lites, and 589's. Every brand I had to take off my 4 wheeler, (and Rhino) because there were so many plugs in the side walls they wouldn't hold air any more. One of the Mud Lites had 20 plugs in one hole just to get it out of the woods. Mud lites are crap, I wouldn't run them if someone gave me a new set every month, I would give them to someone I didn't like!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I run Bighorns, not the cheap copies. I don't have any problems with flats anymore. Their only draw back I can see is if you like to go through deep mudholes. They won't do as good as a mud tire there, but then Windrock and Brimstone don't have a lot of them. Another thing, most tires are about an inch shorter than they are marked. Bighorns run true to size.

Since the Windrock ATV club is $76,000 in debt to the IRS and that doesn't count the lawyers fee, I just wonder if the club membership is also liable for the debt? The sold the bleachers and everything they could get their hands on last month at an auction. I guess they were trying to come up with the lawyers down payment. Now that the club can't manage the place and have their little Barney Fiffe trail patrols taken away, the club pitched their little fit and told Coal Creek (owner of Windrock) they won't put on a Spring Jam this year to punish them. Well, don't be suprised if there is an event in May put on by Coal Creek. Nothing has been planed for sure, but I know they are getting things together to see if they can pull it off.

Badride, seems I saw a bunch of plugs sticking out of one of your bighorns Look, turniphead doesnt ride like you, hell nobody rides like you He only has a 2x4, so he needs the extra traction IMO, but I run bighorns too so what do I know Wouldnt be any fun if we all agreed now would it. I here Windrock atv has a new pres and he doesnt even have a atv anymore I joined this year before I knew what the deal was, wish I had my 20.00 back!

No, my left front Bighorn has one plug in it. It was put there by a friend that I let ride it. He wasn't accustomed to the awsome power of the Renegade and he hit a rock while trying to get slowed down for a curve. Kind of like Emerson not being accustomed to work. You know what I mean.

On sad note, I guess some of you might have heard the news story about the body found at carters lake last friday. It was my nephew Lance Bannister, he was 19 years old. The GBI just confirmed today by DNA it was him and released the info that he was murdered by being stabbed to death. He was a good kid, say a prayer for him.

Man Gunny my condolences to you and your family. Mrs. Turnip Head and my self will be praying for you. So young, that is very sad to hear.

yea, brian is a good friend of mine. I talked to him monday. he is more busier than ever and the lucky bastard is going all over the world. I was on some of his earlier shows in texas at the first mud nationals and the one they did at windrock years ago. they had one of the first rhinos out and he let me drive it around saturday night but I dont remember much of it..... I was impressed where it would go tho..... I will see if I can did those up and post em.
