Monster Energy/FAR/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki riders remained solid with top-10 finishes during round eight of the GNCC series in Snowshoe, W. Va. The course was brand new to the series and was considered one of the toughest to date.
In the XC1 class, Jesse Robinson worked his way up the pack to finish with in sixth place. “I had a lot of fun out there,” said Robinson. “My Kawasaki KX™250 was working great in the rocks, which were all over the course.” In the XC2 class, Scott Watkins, after getting stuck in a mud hole, put in a great performance to come across the finish with a well-earned sixth-place. “This track was tough,” said Watkins. “I felt like the harder I tried, the harder it was to get comfortable with the track.” This round saw a new addition to the team with Josh Weisenfels racing under the Kawasaki tent. Also racing in the XC2 class, Josh had a good start until he derailed his chain and smashed his brake pedal. After receiving the necessary repairs, Weisenfels raced from 15th to finish in ninth. “I have never raced anything like Snowshoe before,” said Weisenfels. “The course had lots of big mud bogs and rocky areas.” The Monster Energy/FAR/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki will take a two month break until round nine of the GNCC series resumes at Somerset, Pa., on September 1.
