Its only happened twice, but when I push the start button with the key on something makes a buzz and everything goes off. A few minutes later the display will come back on (clock will have to be reset) and then I can pull start it. After riding again it will start like normal with the start button. I can't imagine whats tripping and resetting itself. I've checked the battery and its fine. Any more ideas?

sounds like you have a weak ground. check the connections where the motor grounds to the frame and the battery ground cable bolts to frame.

Clean and tighten the battery connections. This is also a symptom of a bad battery.
It happened to me a month or so ago. I removed the ground cable. Charged the battery and let it sit for a week. The battery didn't hold the charge. So I just bought a new one and problem fixed. |
