Hey all...

I've come to realize looking thru this and other sites (as well as thru Red Rider magazine) that I'm DEFINITELY one of the minority. It seems that the 4x4, Utility type quads are A LOT more popular than my TRX 450 R! I do admit... I really envy the push button shifting and electric start you guys/gals have on your bikes! Kick starting is rough (especially the 450 R!)

Anyway, is there anybody out there that rides in the sand? Anybody got a 450 R? How about anybody that's local to the San Diego/L.A./Yuma area that rides out in Glamis/Gordon's Well... How about out in Borrego Springs or Ocotillo Wells?

    Specs on my bikes:
    "Straight Outta the Box"
No after-market anything, and they scream!

Well... good riding everybody!

Cool Handle! "Vernholiooooooo"

True Utilites are more popular here on the East Cost. I love sport ATV's, but we have so many climbs and steep decents here in Eastern Kentucky that a 4x4 is a must. Many younger riders will choose a sport ATV over a utility because of the fun factor.

Thanks for the compliment on the handle!

Yeah, the wife and I found out the beauty of the Utilty quad when we vistied my dad down on his ranch south of Dallas. We loaded up our 450's on the trailer and made the LONG drive out there from San Diego. Anyway, almost all of his land is rutted climbs and windy trails... we were totally out of our element on our bikes (needless to say, we stalled the 450's A LOT... they really want you to be on the gas, all the time!) But, there goes my dad on his Foreman 500 through everything! I think he was getting a little impatient waiting for us to start our bikes all the time! But, we did make it back to camp first every time for a cold beer!
