Sometimes the engine dies when shifting from 3rd to 4th gear.

This problem happens appx 6 out of 10 times. I simply dies and I have to wait until it comes to a complete stop to shift back down to Neutral and restart. This is a new ATV. It is under warranty and should be fixed soon, but I was hoping to solve it before I drove 80 miles to take it in. Any suggestions? When it dies, the dashboard lights come on just like when you turn the key to the on position before pushing the start button.

It sounds electrical, best let the dealer figure it out, you could go under the seat and un-plug and plug back in all the connections, one might just be having a bad conn.

I will check the connections. If that does not do it, to the dealer it goes.

Followup:

Dealer found a ground strap loose on the engine. Stated that it was shipped like that from factory.

Lots of times its just simple stuff
