I have a 2007 rancher 420 4wd es and when i get in deep water it dies. I cannot keep it running by keeping the rpms up or anything like that. Most of my friends have hondas and ride circles around me in the water. Does anybody have any idea what would cause this?

Pull spark plug boot and fill with delectric grease, reinstall. Give that a try.

Its not a submarine, its trying to tell you something when it dies, soon you will fill the motor and ruin the enigine. If you want to go deep, you best find someone who knows how to snorkel and waterproof it.

I will try the delectric grease and i know that its not a submarine but every other atv that i have had would at least run long enough to get you out of a hole or until you sucked water in the intake. This one dies immediately and it pissed me off. I know that i havent sucked water in the intake but if the exhaust goes under it dies. i thought about trying to snorkel the exhaust to see if that would help but the type of riding that i do it would just get knocked off and be in the way.
