I've got an '03 that I just fixed... It's crazy the amount of power from it and the Polaris 250 I've been riding.

Hello, I have an 05 Rubicon Canadian Trail Edition and so far so good accept for the factory Dunflops which I am looking to replace. I also have one small problem. After about 1300km the exhaust started to sound like a ref's whistle when I let off the throttle, very annoying. I took out the spark Arrestor and it's fine, I even cleaned it with a brush. The seal what toast so I replaced it. Not the problem. When I take out the arrestor the exhaust is fine ( not a baffle noise). I'm confused anyone had this problem. A new part is 87$ Cdn. Also do the ITP mudlites do well on hard gravel roads? How long do they last? Better than DirtDevil?

Thanks for any help. Nice to stumble on a thread like this.

My first Post, Owned a 88 300 fourtrax from new, and bought my 500 rubicon in October 07, did not even shop other dealers because of the good luck and performance form my 300, the problem, after ononig the 500 for 6 monthes and standing admiring it with my buddy looking at thefront of it , he says to me, whats with the front left tire, it is cambered in about 1 1/2 inches, never been off its ruber never hit anything hard, so I take it to the dealer, after a day of looking and sending pics to Honda Canada the point out the rear swing arm bracket is different from the other side, possably bent. I freak, they say that I should call customer relations, I freek, so I did. Now to make this long story short, after two customer relations ladies, they admit to me that they have had some other quads with the same issue, but are refusing to fix or replace the quad or frame, and say it will not cause any problems down the road for me, I say BS and freak. I am not done with them yet but it don't look good. My question anyone else have this issue or hurd of it or any suggestions on what to do. thanks in advance

they are 12" rims, it came with 25" tires, but most run 26" when they wear out the stockers.

Advice Please!
I am down in the South. Mississippi area and I am looking for my second 4 wheeler. I found a 2003 Honda Rubicon with 690 miles on it. I know the dad of the guy that wants to sell it.
It has Aluminum wheels, medium drop rack, gun holders on front, stick stoppers. It has a few pop rivets that need to be fixed and a few scratches on the fenders. Not bad though, gives it character. Was not run at all last year because this guy is a school teacher and did not hunt. He feels as though he needs to sell it because it is sitting in garage. It has some surface rust on frame, but not too bad. All boots seem to be fine. Tires are like new. 128 hours on the bike. No dirt or mud in the breather box. Just a light film of oil and dust, maybe from the air breather. Oil was not changed last year because he did not ride it. Looks fine golden tan color. (Has a slight whine in the trans when at 30 or 40 mph, i think its normal not too loud. Just not used to it since I have been riding a 98 Honda 300 for 7 years.
Any how he also has a 5x12 trailer to sell (which I need for 2 bikes)
He wanted 5000.00 and we have settled on 4300.00.
Trailers are going for 1000.00 for a 6x12 here.

Thanks for the help.

My other question since I did not go down any steep hills. Does this model have good engine hold back for going down hills?

SOUNDS LIKE YOU GOT A GOOD DEAL... BUT THAT SOUNDS A BIT HIGH FOR THE TRAILER(USED??).... SEE IF HE'LL COME DOWN ON THE WHOLE PACKAGE A FEW HUNDRED....(lower the better right?).... EITHER WAY, IF YOU WANT IT , GO AHEAD AND GET IT... IT SOUNDS LIKE IT'LL DO YA GOOD AFTER A GOOD CLEANING AND GREASING AND A GOOD OILCHANGE. POST UP LATER AND LET US KNOW HOW IT TURNS OUT.
