ATV Tire, Wheel and Bolt Pattern Chart
To understand your tires you first have to know what size is your OEM tires are. You can find this out by refering to your owners manual or the application chart below. You can also just read the numbers on the side of your tires and do the math. What do the numbers mean? Tire Example: Dunlop 25 x 10 x 12 Tire Diameter = 25" Tire Width = 10" Rim Diameter = 12" Wheel Example: Steel Wheel 10 x 8 3+5 4/110 Wheel Diameter = 10" Wheel Width = 8" Wheel Offset = 3" mounting centerline to inside wheel edge and 5" mounting center line to the outside wheel edge Number of Bolt Holes = 4 Spacing of bolt holes = 110" (measured from center of one bolt hole across center of wheel to opposite bolt hole) Note: Most OEM Wheel Applications have no offset (the wheel is centered over the hub). In these cases, the wheel offset is omitted from the listing. How to determine bolt patterns? You can determine your bolt pattern by measuring "in millimeters" the distance from the center of one wheel stud to the center of the opposite wheel stud. Next, determine your correct bolt pattern. Convert your measurement from inches to millimeters by multiplying by "25.4" Example: Wheel stud measurement: 4-5/16" = (4.313") Formula: 4.313 x 25.4 = 109.6 mm ==> 110mm bolt pattern ARCTIC CAT ATV TIRE, WHEEL AND BOLT PATTERN BOMBARDIER ATV TIRE, WHEEL AND BOLT PATTERN HONDA ATV TIRE, WHEEL AND BOLT PATTERN KAWASAKI ATV TIRE, WHEEL AND BOLT PATTERN SUZUKI ATV TIRE, WHEEL AND BOLT PATTERN POLARIS ATV TIRE, WHEEL AND BOLT PATTERN YAMAHA ATV TIRE, WHEEL AND BOLT PATTERN This message has been edited. Excellent starting point Stan.
However, The offset is required if you want to know if wheels are compatible. Ex. 2003 Yamaha Grizzly & 2002 Suzuki Eiger The grizzly is 4/110 5+2 offset in front. The Eiger is 4/110 5+2 offset in front. The Griz is 4/110 5+2 offset rear. The Eiger is 4/110 2+5 offset rear. In a nutshell, The Griz has the same wheel all around and any of them will fit on the fron of the Eiger. However, The eiger is a solid rear axle and has a 2+5 offset in the rear so the wheels arent compatible all the way around. Hope this helps.
