i am looking for info how to identify a 2001 400ex that was stolen from me ?? i know where it is at but the frame has been changed and numbers ground off engine below counter sprocket i know for a fact this is whats left of mine but need to know other ways or maybe numbers located somewhere else to identify the engine any help would be greatly appreciated you can email me at tgp31@aol.com or call me at 515-265-5041 thanks Russ

If the serial number has been ground off, then they will have to prove its not yours, rather than you prove that it is.

Thank you for the response, the detectives in this area seem to be really laxed on this matter they actually seen this quad in the thiefs garage and forgot i was looking for a 400ex and instead they looked at a 250 imagine that so the detective returned to the garage and it had been moved and the thief is on federal parolle i am thinking about calling the county sheriff to assist on this matter i was hoping under a cover or somewhere else would be more numbers to identify it thanks for your help ill let you know how it turns out Russ
