hello, i am new to atv's and could use some help. just purchased a 2000 arctic cat 300 4x4 - i stalled it and
cant get it to restart. i made sure kill switch was in the proper location and there is gas - but when i start it i can hear the elec. start trying to turn over but
its just not catching. its in neutral and i have applied break but still nothing. not sure if i flooded it.

i wanted to pull start it but pull cord is under the seat , am i supposed to remove seat and pull straight up (if so how?) - when i tried to pull to the side without removing seat doesn't, cant get a good pull because of the angle

sorry for the silly question - i attempting to research this on the net and found no help. would appreciate any ideas or suggestions!

ok - i have since got the seat off - attempted to
the pull cord to start - very difficult to do! no luck yet.

still sounds like a car when it wants to start but just doesn't if that helps.

i have since pulled the plug and cleaned it - same problem. also tried replacing the plug.

aaaaghhhhhhhhhhhh - anyone read these forums here - help please - dont want to have to go for an hour drive if i can fix it myself!

Its hard to tell from here what the problem is, have you checked all fuses, battery connections, is the gas turned on and is fuel going to the carb, switch on, in nutral, kill switch in run, it still might need a new plug, too. It could be one of these things or a combination. If you cant get it going, look for a local shop that works on atvs or cycles they may can help.
