Hey all,
my pastor had me look at his quad after he tried to jump the battery off his van. Well, he hooked up the cables to each side of his starter relay. After the smoke rolled and the jumper cables melted he disconnected everything. Now, it looks like the starter relay might have been "welded" into the "starter on" position. Well, with the battery charged, when the battery is connected the quad tries to start no mater what position the key is in or the kill switch is located. My best guess is the relay but I was wondering what everyone else might think... I don't know if the voltage regulator might have been fried as well. All fuses are looking good. I have a couple of weeks before working on it so any suggestions would be great. Thanks, JOel |

relay is the first issue, you might get it to un stick but probly will need to be replaced. Once you get that working and the atv running you can check the other but most times it will be fine.
