I have a 2001 Arctic Cat 250 5 speed, it ran just fine yesterday but when I went to re-start it last night I kept popping the ignition fuse. What would cause this and how can I fix it?! Any info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks Dawn

Greetings and Welcome to ATVPOSTERS... Sounds to me you may have gotten a wire hot and melted a little insulation off letting a bare hot wire ground itself to the frame or another bare wire. It sounds that it must be in your starter circuit or in the starter button and/or wire. Post up later and tell us what you find out.

only thing that blows a fuse is a short, did you push the starter button/ maybe it has a short, disconect the wires going to the starter, or like bubba said, somewhere you have a short

Problem solved fella's, and in less than 2 days. The problem was SO simple we over looked it to begin with. I had been bumped in the azz by some some ditz who didn't have brakes and she loosened the solder that held the wire to the tail light. Evidentally, the wire had come un-done on the ride home and the wires were touching. Therefore blowing the fuse. Again, thanks for the suggestions and the help guys!! Dawn
