Do you guys know how to get to the inner rear cv boot? I have the hub and shock off but I don't know how to get the axle out now. Its on a 2006 outlander 800 thanks.

I have know experience with the Outlander but with the other brands i've worked with it's a matter of getting the axle in as horizontal position as possible then giving it a hard quick tug at the outer cv joint.Good luck.

Yeah its not quite that easy on the outlander though, because there is a single rear suspension arm that does'nt swing out of the way. I'm thinking I might have to take the whole arm off. Does any one know?- If thats the case then I'll have to buy another boot for where the arm connects to the chassis. Thanks ahead for any and all replys guys.

They make a special tool that you can't even buy to get the swing arm off- now thats genius. So good luck to whoever ends up in this position too. they told me I had to bring it in for the 85.00 an hour shop rate, or build my own tool.

There is a boot that can be put on with out removing anything, but it made more for a temporary situation.

If you look at the top of the suspension arm you will see a black round cover, take these off of both sides. Then their will be a lock nut on each side, take these off. then you should beable to slide the shaft out for eigther side. Now on the side of the bike you want to remove there will be a snap ring to remove and then a big nut that requires the special tool. instaead of the tool needed you may beable to loosen it with a hammer and punch. You will see that the nut is kind of like the top of a castle and the special socket fits in it perfect but a hammer and punch may do it.

i bet you could get the dealer to order you the tool if you want
