This is my version of mudcons airbox mod. I did this because I had belt slippage from splashing in water that was not even as high as what the kawasaki riders manual says to avoid. I did this in conjuntion with the kawasaki inner fender kits. By the way those inner fender pieces are not nearly as big as they look in the pic. If you want any pics of those installed just ask me and I will post them.
I copied Mudcons quiet a bit but added a second section just infront of what he had done. I made it where I can just remove the tie straps and use only the back section if I find it is blocking too much air flow. This is the left side with just the rear section. I really did not like how close it was too the airbox opening. I was afraid of restriction of air flow. FFortunantly it pulled away from the airbox when I added the front section to it in the second pic. Here is the right side in the 3rd pic with just the rear section then in the 4th with the forward add on. here is a pic from the front. right side with the body on left side with the body on.

I had a chance to try it out. I did still get some water in the belt housing after lots of big splashing but not enough to make the belt slip. I am happy enough with the results for now. Maybe some is getting in the belt exhaust tube.
