well i knew it would work cause the splashing about in normal mud that would use to get in my air box was gone. but oh my god this weekend was mudfest 2006 at www.broadriveratv.com . I found out 2 things this week end. one is my air box does not get mud in it any more and two my speakers on my stereo will hold up to multiple smerges in mud and water. lol I have not been to broad river in a couple months and man has the trails changes. I dipped off in almost up to the rack mud more than I can account for and never once came accross a problem... I got caught up on stumps alot which nothing I could do but sit there and listen to my stereo. lol it rained and it rained and it rained and made it for a fun weekend and the muddest I have rode in a while. I couldnt even got out the video camera so I could get any footage of the ride. Friday night we rode til about 2 am and saturday night we rode til about 3 am and god what a blast.

if you have a brute you Must do the air box mod and you will have no worries. pics are on my website for those that dont know what I am talking about under (air box mod 1 & 2). cant wait to go back. it was such a surprise not to see mud in my air box. and I mean NONE.

NOTE- read down for instructions

very simple and free. I got a inner fender from a body shop from a chevy truck and cut it to fit. took a couple times but the bend in the fender well worked perfect with covering the air box and drilled holes and zip tied it down to the frame. I have 99%coverage and works great. look at my pics and you can get a better idea. took about 45 minutes to do it all. would have been less but thinking about the cuts and the phone ringing, well you know. lol

welcome to posters, the 06's only have deflectors on them. they are not fixed. it only helps. I know this from weekend before last. 2 06's has mud in their air box after we all went through the same holes and I did not. smiliezood4
