i have a polaris xplorer and the fan is not working ., i can take the two wires from the fan switch that is on the radiator and the fan motor acts as if it wants to turn but won't .. is the fan motor bad is there a way to test this fan motor ?? any help please

Put 12 volts to the red wire and ground the brown wire to the fan(which should be exactly what happened when you bypassed the switch)If it turns-good, if not- bad. What year. I just tore a 98 apart for the motor, really don't need the rest. I could sell you a used motor if you need it.

i tryed to put the red and brown together and when i first tryed it it worked then i tryed it later and hav'nt got it to work yet.. do you have a working fan my quad is a 97 so it should match up

i do have a fan motor. I'll have to make sure it works but I bet it does. The bike was run out of oil, not cooling issues so I bet there is nothing wrong with the fan motor. I'll check when I get to work.
